After a 40-year career as a freelance sports illustrator, sports
writer, syndicated columnist, and illustrator of more than 40 books; a career,
which carried him over much of the United States, Jim McQueen recently relocated
back to the place of his roots in South Mississippi. Jim McQueen has a B.S.
Degree in art from the University of Southern Mississippi, and an M.A. Degree in
art from The University of Mississippi.
Jim was sports illustrator for Golf Digest for 30 years, Golf Magazine for 10
years, Tennis Magazine for 13 years, and Majors of Golf for 8 years. He wrote
and illustrated syndicated newspaper columns for Jack Nicklaus, Billy Casper,
Dave Hill, and Stan Smith.
Jim produced prints of NCAA National Championship Penn State University
(football), Clemson University (football), and University of North Carolina
(basketball).
