Through modern technology and the invention of the ink jet printers came
the introduction of Giclee (Jhee-clay) Prints. These prints are produced
one at a time by a state-of-the-art process. Using a digital process to
input the image and a wide format printer to output the image, the end
result is a very accurate, vibrant image that closely resembles the
original.
This relatively new printing process has been called prints on demand,
because Giclee prints are made one at a time, in contrast to offset
prints, which are usually made in large quantities. It is now affordable
for

emerging artists to have prints made. Another important reason that Giclee prints are the prints of the future is their superior quality,
lasting from 75 to 100 years under normal conditions, and their very
close resemblance to the original work of art.
